In the southern part of Moscow lay the lands of the State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno. Its nucleus is the largest palatial ensemble in Russia - the residence of Catherine the Great constructed between 1775 and 1796 by the famous Russian architects Vasiliy Bazhenov and Matvey Kazakov in the romantic "gothic style". The XIX century landscape park is located nearby. Its trees overlook the waters of the Upper Tsaritsyno pond, which together with the Shipilovsky and Borisovsky ponds form the largest cascade of ponds in Moscow. Tsaritsyno is the largest museum-reserve and historical and cultural monument of the federal level in Moscow, occupying over 700 hectares.
The tour through the palace part of Tsaritsyno architectural ensemble, includes either one of the exhibitions in the Great Palace or a general tour over the Great Palace and a visit to the main halls and the archeological exposition.

Suzdal and Vladimir are towns that are included in Russia's so called "Golden Ring"
The town of Suzdal is often called the Russian Mecca. One can hardly call Suzdal a town, due to the numerous churches, wooden private houses, quietness, bird singing and bell ringing there.
A sightseeing tour will take you to the oldest part of the Kremlin, the heart of Suzdal. Specialists believe the Kremlin dates back to the Xth century and first appeared in the chronicles in 1024. On its territory you will admire the Cathedral of the Nativity, dating back to the beginning of the XIII century, the largest relic of which is the Golden Gates. The next stop will be at the architectural ensemble of the Archbishops´ Chambers that took several centuries to be completed. It houses a unique and breathtaking collection of historical and archaeological objects, including the Cross-Vaulted Chamber.
In Vladimir you will get acquainted with the main highlights of the city. The first stop is the Assumption cathedral, a unique monument of the white-stone architecture of Vladimir, built in the middle of the XII century by Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky as the main church of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality. World-famous frescoes by Andrei Rublev are preserved there. You will proceed to a small one-domed cathedral of St.Dmitry, built in the beginning of the XII century by then prince Vsevolod as his palace church. The cathedral's interior still features frescoes of the XII century.
The Golden Gates are considered a door to Vladimir. It is one of the first historical monuments that welcome you on your arrival. It was created in early XII century by prince Andrei Bogolubsky and in ancient times it served as the main military tower of the fortress.

Known as "the City of the Tsars," St. Petersburg combines a fascinating Russian heritage with a distinct European outlook. Here majestic Imperial traditions, intellectual and artistic life, and the hospitality of its citizens blend with the dynamics of a modern European center.

Peter and Paul's Fortress was constructed during the reign of Peter the Great in 1703. First it was built in earth and wood, but by the middle of the 18th century it was rebuilt in stone. In the center of the Fortress is Peter and Paul's Cathedral (1733, architect D. Trezzini), which is the burial place of all Russian Emperors (from Peter the Great to Nicholas II, except Peter II and Ioann VI).
Peter and Paul's Cathedral is the highest building of St. Petersburg.
St. Isaac's Cathedral The construction of the cathedral began in 1818 and lasted for 40 years. St. Isaac's Cathedral is a unique architectural monument. It is the 4th largest cupola construction in the world, with a height of 333 feet. The cathedral is richly ornamented with different sorts of marble. 112 granite columns decorate the outside of the cathedral.
Church of the Savior on Spilt Blood (1883-1907, architect A. Parland) was erected on the place where Russian Emperor Alexander II was assassinated. Alexander II was a very progressive tsar. In 1861 he abolished serfdom, and the people gave him the title Tsar the Liberator. He wanted to make Russia a Constitutional Monarchy. But on the 1st of March, 1881, he was killed by a member of the People's Will organization). After his tragic death, Alexander II was given the title Tsar the Martyr. The church is a unique architectural monument. It is richly decorated with mosaics outside and inside (more than 75,000 square feet). It is the only building in Russian (Pseudo-Russian) style in St. Petersburg.
On the second day you will visit the Tsar's village (Pushkin) and Catherine's Palace. It ranks as one of the masterpieces of world art. It is located in the town of Pushkin, formerly called Tsarskoye Selo or the "Tsar's village." In 1710, Peter the Great gave this estate to his wife Catherine, and on it a small palace was built by Braunstein. From this time until the time of the last Russian tsar, it was used as the summer home of the Imperial family. The palace contains a series of magnificent rooms, including the famous Picture Gallery and, of course, the Great Hall. During the many official balls and receptions held here, 700 candles would burn in front of the mirrors ornamented in gold. The numerous mirrors reflect the gilded wood carvings of fiery Cupids and graceful female figures. The parks of the estate add to the splendor of the palace, and several are embellished with a number of charming pavilions.
